Under the supervision of the Center Coordinator, plan and implement the education program for the children assigned to your care by developing a working knowledge of curriculum, lesson plans, performance standards, service plans,policies and procedures. Develop and maintain a positive partnership with families and the children.This is a seasonal position that corresponds with our Head Start school year calendar, approximately August - May each year. Wage scale is $9.01 - $9.73. This position is 20-25 hours per week.
1. Work Experience Required: Preschool experience preferred.
2. Education and Training: Currently enrolled in either a CDA or Associate’s or higher degree program in Early Childhood Education and complete that education within 2 years.
3. Special Conditions: Ability to lift 40 pounds, reach, bend, move easily and work on the floor with small children. A valid driver’s license and a driving history acceptable to agency insurer.Available to work flexible hours.
